Seeleys china paints, mediums and painting supplies for porcelain dolls

Seeleys china paints

Four main ranges: Dry Gloss, Decorator, Dry Satin and Glitter. The colours cover skin tones (including the Bisque Tone colours), eyes, eyebrows, hair and clothing. For example, Satin Black is for fine lines and lashes, Slate Blue is for painting eyes, and the Eyebrow colours match antique dolls.

Vintage Seeleys paints

Older Seeleys colours, dating to around pre-1995, from a US studio that closed in 2005.

Matt finishes and additives

Dry Matt colours; Matting Agent, a white powder mixed into any china paint for a matt look; Fay Good Modifier, for a smooth satiny matt finish; and Flux, a white powder that helps the colour bond to the piece and makes it glossier.

Mediums, glazes, gold and platinum

•             New York Doll Products water-based mediums (Area, Line and Ultra Fine Line), which clean up with water.

•             Clear, lead-free glaze in low-fire and high-fire versions.

•             Liquid Bright Gold and Liquid Bright Platinum, with thinners.

Painting aids

Sponges, lint-free towels, palette knives, brush rests and brush carry cases.
